Maitland Community Care Services Inc. provide assistance with transport for the following requirements:
- Attending appointments (medical, business or other appointments) – Timetable
(click here) to Newcastle
- Visiting friends or family who may be in residential care or hospital
- Shopping (either group shopping where you can independently shop and just need a lift there and back; individual shopping with someone to help with groceries; or we can provide someone to shop from your list for you.)
- Social activities like day bus trips and
small social groups
Maitland Community Care
Services Inc. provide assistance in the home for:
- Social Visiting where a volunteer will come and visit on a regular basis for a cuppa and a chat. They can also help out with letter writing or reading or other small tasks that may be required.
- House cleaning, washing, changing sheets
- Small home handyman tasks such as changing tap washers or repairing letter boxes
- Support for carers with a regular newsletter, information and referrals
Fees and fares apply to all Transport, Shopping and House Cleaning services.

All Fees and fares are negotiable and access to
services will not be denied due to inability to pay.
Fees and fares are used to ensure continuous
operation of vehicles and services.

- Eligibility for services can be assessed by a single phone call to
49325566.
- Assessment will take approximately 30 minutes by phone.
- An in-home assessment is arranged for some services and this will be with prior arrangement.
- An Information Package can be sent by phoning 49325566.
